It's April and Iowa basketball is still playing -- this is exciting. It's also uncharted territory.
After almost a week off, Iowa is set to take the floor in the semifinals of the NIT, taking on Maryland. The setting is almost as good as it gets for basketball: Madison Square Garden. Maryland will be a stiff test for this Iowa team, a formidable obstacle in the face of a spot in the NIT finals. But Iowa's made it this far -- why not one more win?
The game will tip off roughly 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Baylor-BYU game; that will probably be around 8:30 pm CT. The game is being televised by ESPN2.
