Iowa's excellent NIT adventure gets underway tonight, with a home game against the mighty Sycamores of Indiana State. True to their namesake, ISU (the other ISU) has quite a few tall dudes, so Iowa's own height advantage will be put to the test. A sellout (or near-sellout) crowd is expected at Carver tonight, so the atmosphere should be tremendous.
If Iowa gets past the Sycamores, they'll either host Stony Brook or head to UMass for a second-round game. That game is happening at roughly the same time as Iowa's game (tip-off is 6:15 pm CT for UMass-Stony Brook), so we'll keep an eye on the score in that game, too.
The game is on ESPN2 at 6:00 pm CT. Go Hawks.
