GET READY FOR THE PLUNGE.

THE HAWKEYE MEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM HEADS TO MINNESOTA TODAY. Melsahn Basabe got the start Thursday against Penn State and is still in the starting lineup today. Adam Woodbury is also starting and as Scott Dochterman notes, he's helping the team with his rebounding. The Hawks will need a solid effort on the glass from these two if they want to have a chance on the road against the Big Ten's second best rebounding team.
HOW BOUT THEM HAWKEYES? There will be plenty of wrestling recapin' going on later, but for now, enjoy these pics from Carver-Hawkeye Friday night.
LET'S TALK SOME MORE CROOTIN.

IOWA GOT A COMMIT, THEN DIDN'T, THEN MAYBE. Caring is creepy, and confusing sometimes too. The New Jersey Star-Ledger reported that Akrum Wadley committed to Iowa yesterday. Who? Wadley is a running back prospect that originally verbally committed to Temple last month. Hawkeye Insider's Rob Howe confirmed that Wadley is visiting Iowa City this weekend but a commitment is pending.
Educated guess: Akrum Wadley ends up at Iowa but isn't ready to go public. Perhaps he hasn't told Temple coaches. #recruitingcrazy
— Rob Howe (@HawkeyeInsider) February 3, 2013
If Wadley joins the Hawkeye class of 2013 he'd be the second running back in the class. Iowa had yet to find another safety prospect after Delano Hill bolted for Michigan so perhaps Wadley fills that void.
Iowa is hosting another prospect whose name popped up just this week. Jonathan Parker, of St. Louis, is also a running back prospect who the Hawkeyes offered a couple weeks ago.
Just heard back from StL CBC Coach Scott Pingel who confirmed RB Jonathan Parker is visiting #Iowa this weekend and has a #Hawkeyes offer.

Parker is rated as a two-star running back and verbally committed to Tulsa.
IOWA ADDS A WALK-ON. Connor Keane, a wide receiver from Minnesota, will give football at Iowa a try. Here is a YouTube of Keane in action. He is the second wide receiver to walk-on to the program joining Iowa Western Community College's Andrew Stone.
THE OTHER PROSPECTS VISITING THIS WEEKEND. Kyle Norberg has the tough decision of taking scholarship money from North Dakota or walking-on at Iowa. He tweeted a picture of himself wearing the #44 so maybe linebacker is in his future.
Trev Hadacheck also will have a choice between scholarship money or walking-on. Hadacheck also tweeted a picture of himself wearing #5. There is, of course, a chance one of these two gets a late scholarship offer if another prospect decides to play elsewhere. Marc Morehouse has a breakdown of Hawkeye targets which might have a shot of landing a full-ride.
