THESE NAMES SHOULDN'T SURPRISE YOU.
Up at Iowa, we're told Bobby Kennedy and Jim Reid will likely join the staff.

Kennedy and Reid shouldnt surprise you if you're an avid reader of INP, of course. We've mentioned both coaches here a handful of times over the last month. Nothing is set in stone, but let's pretend for a second it is. There's two names there, although Iowa has only officially announced the departure of wide receivers coach Erik Campbell. Ferentz said last week when asked about more potential coaching changes, "Not right now."
Still, Lester Erb is the other coach that we are almost certain is moving on. That's two assistants on the offensive side following perhaps the worst statistical offensive season in quite some time. Reid is a former defensive coordinator from Virginia. He's only coached on the defensive side of the ball over his long career. That means, if he's hired (he is reportedly interviewing today), that there will be some shuffling among the staff.
We've speculated that Darrell Wilson could move from defensive backs coach to the offensive side to coach running backs. Reid could take over there or how about this -- from left field -- Reid takes over the role of defensive coordinator and Phil Parker takes the defensive backs coaching position. The same position he held from 1999 til last season when he took over for now retired Norm Parker. Iowa has plenty of time to make moves. They have the latest spring practice schedule in the league this year. Spring football doesn't start until the end of March.
IOWA WRESTLING: BIG TEN DUAL CHAMPIONS.
Congrats to @hawks_wrestling for winning the outright #B1G dual-meet championship!

Iowa finished off Illinois and Nebraska over the weekend to win the dual-meet championship. There will be plenty of recaps here later from the best place to read about Hawkeye wrestling.
IT'S A BIG WEEK FOR HAWKEYE BASKETBALL. Iowa got a much needed win over Northwestern on Saturday. Iowa's NCAA tournament hopes took a hit when Illinois woke up and knocked off both Indiana and Minnesota last week. You could argue that those three teams are battling for one of the Big Ten's last spots in the Big Dance. Perhaps two of the three get in. Iowa has to take care of business on the court first and the rest will play out.
FRAN MCCAFFERY TALKED ABOUT HIS TEAM'S WIN. Here's the transcript and video. McCaffery called Marble's performance "spectacular." He added that Marble changes the game when he's on. McCaffery also said he liked that he knew his team "would play hard" despite the tough losses on the road last week.
LISA BLUDER'S SQUAD HAS BEEN ON A DOWNWARD SPIRAL. The Hawkeye ladies peaked at #24 in the Women's Top 25. It's been a slide ever since. They've lost three in a row and now sit at (16-8) on the season. Up next is another tough game against (17-6) Nebraska.
HAWKEYE BASKEBALL IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER. The goal is to make the Big Ten tournament. Iowa didn't qualify last season and the last appearance was in 2010. Iowa opens the season in Tennessee next week.
