THE HAWKS WILL HEAD TO TAMPA. Iowa Athletic Director Gary Barta and head football coach Kirk Ferentz talked about Iowa accepting an invitation to the Outback Bowl. Ferentz joked that it was nice spending the Holidays at home with the family last year but he'd rather be working. They'll have plenty of work to do to prepare for #15 LSU. The Tigers are a touchdown favorite over the Hawkeyes. For Ferentz and company, they've been there before.

IOWA AND LSU FACED OFF ONCE IN FLORIDA. We all remember how that Capital One Bowl ended. The Outback, in Tampa, is new for LSU. They'll also be without quarterback Zach Mettenberger and Anthony Jennings will make his starting quarterback debut.
