Is that? Could it be?
No... it can't be. There's no way.
But wait a minute... it is! It's him!
BAH GAWD, KING! THAT'S JORDAN CANZERI'S MUSIC!

Yes, Jordan Canzeri made a surprise return to the Iowa practice field today, just five scant months since he tore his ACL during practice last spring. I'm not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV. The last science class I took was probably a class about evolution at Iowa ten years ago (holy shit, I am OLD). Needless to say, I am not an expert on ACL injuries or proper rehabilitation times. Perhaps Canzeri just has the quickest-healing knee ligaments this side of Wolverine.
Regardless, I am sure that his return was thoroughly vetted by the coaching staff, the training staff, and his doctor(s). I am likewise certain that he won't see time in a live game situation unless those same groups feel confident that his knee can handle it. Running through a workout in practice is a far cry from getting on the field and facing eleven guys hellbent on pounding you into the turf. But, hell, maybe Canzeri is a medical marvel. Maybe he really will be able to return and contribute this season. Lord knows we're long overdue for some actual good news at the running back position.
