Would I be doing this if Iowa wasn't in the 2012 NIT? God no. But in it they are and who am I to deny a little more bracket fun to BHGP readers and any other Friends of the Past who might want to participate? Unfortunately, no website that I could find hosts an NIT bracket-picking contest. (Boo.) I didn't let that deter me, though. Oh no. I'm an industrious blogger, so I went ahead and made my own NIT bracket challenge. How's it work? Glad you asked.
1) Fill out the NIT bracket.
I created an editable Google doc version of the NIT bracket here; go ahead and fill that out, download it in a format I can read (I encourage an Excel doc or PDF) or just use the "email as attachment option" (again selecting either Excel doc or PDF). Or just use the Excel version here. Don't forget to answer the tiebreaker!
2) Save your completed bracket and email it to me at bhgprosswb@gmail.com by 6:00pm CT on Tuesday, March 13th.
That's all you have to do. I'll handle the scoring and everything else. Pretty easy, right? (The scoring system, in case you're curious is: 2 pts/first round win, 4 pts/second round win, 8 pts/quarterfinal win, 16 pts/semifinal win, 32 pts/final win.)
Winner gets a BHGP shirt of his or her choice.
