After a week or so where Iowa seemed to be playing almost every other day, things have settled down a bit -- they haven't played a game since last Wednesday, when the lost to Wichita State in the finals of the Cancun Challenge. Since then, they've been able to lick their wounds and enjoy Thanksgiving and get ready for the remainder of their non-conference slate. That starts tonight, with a trip to Blacksburg to take on Virginia Tech as part of the Big Ten-ACC Challenge.
As we discussed in the previews today -- this is a big game for Iowa. They need to get that "can't win in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge" monkey off their backs and since this is one of the few opportunities for them to score a respectable non-conference win, they really need to take advantage of that. Beat the Hokies. Hawks > Hokies anyway.
