The early reports about Micah Hyde's arrest in the wee hours of this morning contained few details about what happened. Courtesy of The Press Citizen, we now know a few of those details:
Hyde was among a group of people that would not leave Old Capitol Brew Works near closing time. According to the police report, Hyde was among a group of subjects fighting with the staff.
When the officers arrived on the scene the crowd was breaking up. The staff pointed out which subjects were involved, including Hyde.
The police confronted the group at the corner of Bowery and Gilbert St., told them to stop and flashed their lights. Hyde and the rest of the group ignored the command and started running.
Police chased Hyde, who was apprehended two blocks away. According to the report, Hyde had "bloodshot watery eyes and an odor of an alcoholic beverage" and showed 6 of 6 signs of impairment and refused post arrest breathalyzer.
Running from the cops is rarely a good idea. And, really, if you're going to do something like that, at least pull a Riley Reiff and make it fun -- run shirtless through Pita Pit! Do a pole dancing routine with a lamppost!
Anyway, there's also this from Morehouse:
Micah Hyde bonded out of Johnson County Jail. That means he likely pled not guilty.

As far as punishments from Ferentz... we'll see if any other details emerge, but for now I'm sticking with my initial guess of a one-game ban for Hyde.
