As you may have heard, Adam Woodbury will announce where he will be playing college basketball tonight, and his choices are down to Iowa and UNC. This is a big deal for Iowa basketball, obviously, which might explain the curious wording of the official Iowa press release on the subject:
The wind came back with triple fury, and put out the light for the last time. Fran McCaffery and his staff sat in company with the others in the newly remodeled offices in Carver-Hawkeye Arena, their eyes straining against taupe walls and their souls asking if He meant to measure their puny might against His. They seemed to be staring at the dark, but their eyes were watching Woodbury.
Seems a little over-dramatic for a basketball player announcement (and it goes on like that for several hundred pages), but I guess 7'1" four-star in-state recruits don't come down the pike all that often. Here's hoping!
