Given two facts:
- Kirk Ferentz is constantly named as a threat to leave the Iowa football program, whether for a "better" job or resigning in disgrace.
- When Joe Paterno retires in the next couple years, Ferentz will be the longest-tenured coach in the Big Ten.
Doesn't Ferentz's inability to leave the Hawkeyes prove he's already at his ceiling? Iowa should fire Ferentz immediately if they want to reach the next level. That they would end all the negative speculation would just be a bonus.
