Kirk Ferentz Wins Alumni Award; THIS IS TERRIBLE NEWS

While one coach is offering bullshit platitudes as his team disintegrates in an unholy mess, the other big name at the UI is being honored yet again, this time just for, y'know, being him.

From Iowa Sports information:

FERENTZ TO RECEIVE U-CONN ALUMNI AWARD

IOWA CITY, IA - University of Iowa Head Football Coach Kirk Ferentz has been selected to receive the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut.

Ferentz received a B.A. in English Education from the Neag School in 1978. He is being recognized for his outstanding contributions to the University of Iowa. He took the Hawkeyes to six straight bowl games, the second longest streak in school history. He is a two-time Big Ten Coach of the Year and led his team to two Big Ten titles in four years.

Nifty! but wait... this is from his alma mater, UConn? What do the Huskies think they're doing? ARE THEY STEALING OUR COACH?!

Man-screaming-at-computer-g_medium

Kirk Ferentz must reject and denounce this award immediately and reaffirm his commitment to the University of Iowa. Otherwise this will be just another negative recruiting chip for opposing coaches, who have much better track records of stability and job security than Ferentz does.

AND FIRE KIRK FERENTZ NOW!
