BHGP's First Annual Awards Show

In case you cared, the CFBA voting has begun. Everyone may vote for the People's Champion at EDSBS, who just so happens to be a candidate too. That's like primary voting being held at Hillary Clinton's house while she just so happens to be having a barbecue and why yes you may have another bratwurst, but whatever, he deserves the award.

The rest of the voting is open to sports bloggeurs, so while dmbmeg is tragically left out in the cold, those of you with more of a college football focus are open to participate. Brian is hosting the voting board right hyeah, so give that a look.

Yes, we're up for a few awards, but we're not going to beg for votes. That's untoward, and we are nothing if not gentlemen here at BHGP. Further, we can suck our own dicks just fine, thank you--this is actually a documentary about us.

To that end, we'd like to announce the first installment of Black Heart Gold Pants' very own award: The Blackies! Over the next week or so, we'll be taking a look back at what was a memorable, exciting year at BHGP and opening the voting to all viewers as to what they liked best about our website. There'll be thrills, chills, and maybe a little mischief along the way.

Below the jump, our first category: Best Original Picture!

(click here for the nominees, or just vote, whatever...)

Star-divide

This category is reserved for the best picture that has been digitally altered by one of our talented in-house photo editors [that means OPS got liquored up and fired up the MS Paint.--ed.] Yeah they know that. [then stop lying.--ed.] We'll present our five nominees and the posts in which they appeared.

Tough call

Morelli Era gets massive hilarity points, but Not a Crook tugs at the heartstrings.

Maybe a pick of [name redacted] getting his head bl-  well, getting... Morellied would be a perfect amalgam?

MORELLI!!!!!

I can tell you my vote, can't I?

(And thanks for letting me vote on this even if I'm not one of them "College Football Bloggers")

Tough Vote

Alford was a crook, his return on investment at Iowa was horrible.

Can I request a post? Is that possible? I tried my best to locate a BHGP email addy but I can not find one.

This Kelvin Sampson NCAA scandal just writes itself. Maybe Jo Pa can get involved in it. Who knows.

I do know that the Hoosier program and fans deserve some ripping on. Every Hawk fan still hates all things Indiana Hoosier basketball, right? I still loathe Dane Fife and that ginger kid, Tom Coverdale.

I feel like a trader for defending the crappy treatment the illini fans gave Eric Gordon and his family on my blog last week.

A loyal BHGP fan, Mac G.

Also

If there's scandalous recruiting involved, the Zooker has to make his presence known.

Had to go with

"Not A Crook" because it was the happiest moment in Iowa basketball for me in the last, what, 8 years?

I also liked the one of Kennedy the day after ZookHook took down aOSU. Still makes me laugh to think about it.

brutal

This is like Sophie's Choice for me. The fact is, JoePa is killing Hep's revenge. It's outstanding in every way.
