Things to keep in mind for today's Kirk Ferentz press conference, starting at 12:30 CST:
(1) Iowa's offense was horrible throughout the year.
(2) Iowa's defense was horrible in conference play when it didn't have a driving rainstorm or 40 mph winds to slow down the other team.
(3) Iowa's current personnel does not match what it wants to do on offense; the same cannot be said for defense.
(4) Iowa's current personnel is young and talented on defense; the same is only partially true of the offense.
(5) In fourteen years as Iowa's head coach, Kirk Ferentz has never fired an assistant coach.
