Iowa now has a 62 pt victory over number 1 Abilene Christian

Recent events in Indiana and the game with Iowa has wreaked havoc on the upcoming tournament seeding. Because no Iowa or Indiana players recorded minutes played above 10, the entire automated BPI ranking algorithm crashed resulting in a final ranking by team name. The benefactor is first year division 1 newbie, Abilene Christian. Iowa, now ranked 125 in the country, thinks something must be wrong as they recall the 103-41 beat down at Carver Hawkeye Arena. They even have a 25 point victory over the now 15th ranked Arkansas Pine Bluff squad. That victory doesn't look as good on paper though and likely can be explained by the fact Iowa alone played without 2 of their stars in Aaron White and Roy Devyn Marble. Both players were limited to 10 minutes or less because of rompitis which had run rampant throughout Iowa's non-conference schedule. It looks like Iowa will now have to settle for a chance at the CBI with it's now below 100 ranking.

Wait, What? You mean BPI has nothing to do with NCAA tournament invitations or seeding. Well, never mind then. Carry on about your business. Nothing to see here folks.
