Forgive this for being early, but I like to have things planned out. And if anybody else has started planning this, I can step aside or we can combine.
As many of you remember, there was talk in several Hamsterdam threads about getting a group of people together for the Iowa / Northwestern basketball game on Jan 25 (11 AM). I contacted their ticket office to find out group sales information to see if we can get a block together. Group ticket pricing is $25 for the game for 15 or more
Here is the good news; we can get a block of tickets and they have a nice system where instead of one of us trying to collect or coordinate money, they can set us up with a promo code to order them directly from their ticket site, which will give us the group rate as well as lumping us together.
The bad news, they're anticipating the game selling out, so while we don't have to act fast, if we want group tickets, we should probably act soon.
What do you think? Is it worth doing this? Who's interested? I am more than willing to set this up if there is enough interest. If not, we can all just do our own thing and get our own tickets.
I've got the group tickets set up through NUsports.com (Direct link Here). The promo code is NUBHGP.
Looks like Level M, section 305. Tickets are $25 with $7 in other fees (because why are there always stupid other fees? $2 to print my own damn ticket?) for a total of $32.
I've got mine.
