This is pretty awesome. The University of Iowa Libraries put up a whole collection of Nile Kinnick items. It's got newspaper clippings and letters to his family and correspondences regarding his death. Some of them are from his parents asking for more specifics about his death and receiving some. Interesting reading. I don't know that I've ever really looked into some of the specifics regarding his flight before. There are his diaries from time in the military, photos and scrapbooks of his childhood as well. I was skipping around a little and found one page in his diary where he was wondering why his parents voted for Hoover in 1932 (no politics, Nile!). He seems to have written a lot of quotes in his diary. You can tell he really put a lot of thought into things.
