In just a shade over two weeks, we'll be sitting down (or standing up, if that's your thing) to watch the first real Iowa football in eight months. THANK GOD, YOU GUYS. As we all know, that game is against Northern Illinois and it's in Soldier Field in Chicago. And, oh yeah, you're damn right that we're tailgating it. But we need a little help firming up some details; hopefully those of you with a better knowledge of Chicago and Soldier Field can fill in the blanks for us.

I. LOCATION

We need a spot to set up camp on Saturday for the tailgate. The last time I was in Soldier Field was, uh, five years ago for the last Iowa-NIU game, though, and I don't remember much about the tailgating situation. Do we just need to show up early and grab whatever spot(s) we can find? Can we piggyback on someone else's location? Suggestions are very welcome.

II. TAILGATING SUPPLIES

We'll be providing some items (especially food), but the larger items -- grills, furniture, TVs, stereos, etc. -- are a little beyond our logistical means. If anyone has a grill or other tailgating set-up that we could share or borrow, that would be aces.

III. FOOD AND BOOZE

As noted, we're going to provide some food -- burgers, brats, sides, etc. -- but if you want to bring more food, you're certainly welcome to do so. On the alcohol front, this will be a BYOB shindig.

IV. FLAG

We have a banner. We will let our freak flag fly.

V. T-SHIRT

We're pondering a creating a t-shirt specially for this game; if you have any killer design ideas for said shirt, feel free to share them. If we do a shirt, we'd want to get it available for sale no later than this weekend, so if you have an idea -- share it quickly!
