Friday, it was reported that second-string running back De'Andre Johnson received a ticket from police for a "disorderly house." Basically, he was having a party, nothing too terrible.
This morning, Johnson ran into trouble with the law again as he was seen speeding on a motorcycle and tried to run and hide from the cops. These charges, speeding and eluding are a tad bit more serious. Ferentz hasn't commented on these new charges. About Friday's scrape with the law, Ferentz said he's need more details.
UPDATE: Johnson suspended.
From Ferentz: Iowa RB De’Andre Johnson suspended from all football activities.

The news may not be all bad for the Hawkeye backfield. Rumors are swirling now that a Penn State freshman-to-be may head to Iowa. It's just a tweet, so take it for what it's worth for the time being.

If Lynch were to join the Hawkeyes he'd compete with fellow freshmen Barkley Hill and Greg Garmon for carries. Ferentz stated at the Big Ten media days that Iowa will look to a frosh to tote the rock some. The competition behind Damon Bullock, Iowa's current number one running back, might just get more interesting.
Lynch was a three-star running back according to Rivals. Iowa was one of his final schools before deciding on Penn State. He rushed for 2,131 yards and 25 touchdowns as a high school senior.
