So, I just finished watching the May 27th episode of Mad Men. It might be the best episode of the series, and there are a lot of episodes I've enjoyed. There are only a couple more episodes left in the season. If you are a fan of the show, please feel free to comment below. Consider this a free-fire zone, so if you don't like spoilers, please don't read the comments.
I don't have HBO, so I don't watch Game of Thrones. But I've also heard this week's episode was great, and there may also be big things to come in the next few episodes as well.
A bunch of people seem to love the new Avengers movie. And there will surely be some huge films coming out in the next few weeks.
Summer isn't always the greatest time to find new TV shows. But, as has been discussed in some of the Hamsterdam threads, there is a mini-series that begins on Memorial Day on History Channel called "Hatfields and McCoys." It will be at 8 pm CT (with some re-plays), and part 2 will be Tuesday, and part 3 on Wednesday. It includes Kevin Costner, Bill Paxton, Tom Berenger, Powers Boothe, and many others. Seems like most reviews have been good, but they also said there is almost no humor in this show. The LA Times said: "There is no greatness here, only the tragedy of pride and bitterness made deadly by two stubborn men — each with too many sons, too many guns, too little sense, and way too much liquor." Sounds like an Irish family reunion. I'm in.
Happy Memorial Day, y'all.
