AnOSU thinks iPads are needed for "student"-athletes

Apparently this has been going on at other schools, too, but it's news now for some reason:

I want to know how this can be construed as anything other than bribing recruits? At least in Nebraska the iPads stay in the locker rooms...How long before the NCAA looks into this?

I would almost rather these be laptops (which apparently some schools also do), as at least those can have software installed and might actually be used for school. (Plus, they aren't overpriced Apple marketing gimmicks that the masses buy because they don't know that there are better options available, but I digress.)
