So what is a Rat King? Is it something dreamed up by South Park? Well, that's actually kind of close. It's a completely made-up cryptozoological being, similar to a Jewpacabra or Abominable Snowman or Manbearpig or any other similar being that South Park has skewered in the last decade. So without further stalling, what the heck is a Rat King? It's a creature that is supposedly created by the scurrying action of dozens of rats climbing on top of each other and irreversibly entangling their tails together to create one massive creature. These things are about as real as a werewolf, but there are plenty of people that believe in them. They're kind of a big thing in Germany, so don't let people tell you that Germans are so much more rational and smarter than the average human.
