This is Flula, the guy who wondered months ago how Daddy Longlegs makes a life. He's got it out for Badgers now, and obviously, so do we.
We've got a highly, wildly unlikely sweep of Wisconsin at stake here, and even though the Badgers are heavily favored, the game IS at Carver. Weirder things have happened.
The game is televised on ESPN2 tonight, plus simulcast on ESPN3.com, but we are still obligated to inform you that no links to unauthorized streams will be tolerated. Also, don't be racist or sexist or homophobic or otherwise prone to slurs. You guys all know that stuff by now, right? Right. Good.

It still is!
I’d say about 60% funny, 24% really funny.
The 90s had a better ratio, but I don’t think by much. It’s just that we only remember the funny skits because of (1) time, (2) selected viewing [youtube, best of dvds], and (3) people love to hate on the new.
I’ll admit that there aren’t cast members who are almost always funny like they used to, but that’s because there are better opportunities for success via TV and movies.
Full disclosure, it was also hard for me to admit that SNL could still be funny when a guy from Good Burger / All That is on it… But Keenan is actually (read: surprisingly) pretty good.

I haven’t found SNL even remotely funny in years (save for maybe one skit here and there). I used to watch the older episodes when Comedy Central played them every day (they stopped a few years back). The contrast is quite clear in my mind.

Bill Hader is hilarious. Seth Meyers does amazing work with weekend update, most of the digital shorts are incredible too.
Most of Kristin Wig’s stuff is the same and not that funny (usually because of lazy writing: "wouldn’t it be funny if she plays a character who talks weird??!!?).
I DVR it and fast forward through the boring skits. So I can’t say it’s amazing, it’s just a lot better than the party line suggests.

Over the last…. 4 years (maybe?) I have only been this excited for one hawkeye basketball game. It was this year’s Ohio State game after winning at wisconsin, at minnesota. I feel like we’ll do better this time though – team has gelled a bit more. The team won’t be as bewildered to see a full CHA, and Ohio State is just really really good.

Yeah, I was thinking about the OSU loss earlier today when I was reading Ross's answers for B5Q, I think.
That was a game that really stubbed the toe of fan momentum. I think Carver attendance would’ve been a lot better over the course of the season if we hadn’t gotten our shit bashed in that game.

With Gesell coming in at PG, RDM moving to full-time SG, and Clemmons and Ingram coming in next year as well, Oglesby could end up a role player for when we need 3s and FTs.
I’m going to type this out just because it makes me so happy to look at:
1 – Gesell
2 – RDM
3 – White
4 – Basabe
5 – Woodbury
So much size, so many weapons. And still enough depth on the bench to run Fran’s uptempo style (and hopefully enough to deal with foul trouble for the bigs and avoid running the FR into a wall as the season and the first year in college go on). I guess you might try to counter it by going 3 guards and seeing if White can defend it, but I’m pretty sure that White Scottie Pippen can keep up.
I would attack that team by going right at the bigs and trying to get them in foul trouble. But then the next season THE SAME STARTING FIVE. Ahahahahahahah!!!

not hitting a field goal in the last 7mins or so doesn't concern anyone else?
I mean I hope we just don’t see a carryover like we had when we let up towards the end against PSU at home even tho we still won, then came out flat against jNW on the road the next game and got beat… Assembly Hall is still a tough place to play no matter how senile Bruce Weber is becoming. I’d like to see us finish better. Other than that… ahh well screw it, we won.
