"I Believe in James Vandenberg." Something you aren't hearing from many hawkeye fans as we enter the last game of the season with only 4 victories.
BUT, I do believe in James Vandenberg.
I believe that the transition from Ken O'Keefe to Greg Davis is partly to blame for the disappointing offense this season.
Vandy has had a heavy burden on his shoulder's.
Rather than not doing enough as the leader of our offense. He's possibly doing to much. With all the transition and speculation coming into the season, he put all the pressure on himself and, it was apparently to much to handle. This certainly isn't the season we wanted, but we can't let all the blame fall on Vandy.
Now before we go along and beg for Kirk Ferentz to put in Ruddock. We need to realize maybe it's not necessairly the quarterback, but the system.
I still believe in JVB.
