Eh, I don't think either side came out looking all that peachy there.
I can’t fault Berglund for the assault charges, and it sounds like he just got screwed by the coaching staff (he was told he could compete for the backup spot? Well, glad we’ve got free and open competition, then, chief), but KU paid for a year’s worth of courses (according to the data center under Weis’ third roll) for a player who hadn’t been on the team, really. If I were Weis, I’d be pissed, too, though probably certainly not pissed enough to go full-sarcasm in a press release. My question is, why wasn’t Berglund sent to a CC at home so that he could work out his legal problems, and then go to KU after a year?

CBS wound up with egg on their face and had to issue a withdrawal. The story, I believe, originally came from the PSU student newspaper, Onward State, whose editor resigned over the ensuing fiasco. That’s what I’ve gathered, anyway. Unfortunate situation, that.

I love Jacobi, but even he acknowledges that he screwed up. It sucks that it cost him his job, though. Hopefully someone else gives him a shot, he’s too talented to stay on the shelf for long (and until then I hope he’ll pop up here some more, because I miss him)

I was also kicked out of a volleyball game because we would yell the number of the girl's uni as she went for a spike.
Our AD had a quick trigger finger for his own kids.
That's not always a terrible thing.

In all my years I never saw anyone go in or anyone come out.
My favorite story about it....
was that they didn’t budget enough for the cost of the actual equipment… So it was the this gorgeous, modern building that was completely empty/useless.

and never saw the inside again. As I recall, the basement is a labyrinth of very narrow hallways with imposing doors leading to very small labs (the one I saw was less than 300 square feet). Very Bond-ian, really.
