Best WRATH OF FRAN yet? Probably. That's some chair-related violence that would bring a tear to the eye of Bob Knight and Vince McMahon.

I love it

I also love that he never acts that way when the two points could be in play for the outcome.

I'm trying to get back into basketball more

and I’ll assume you’re right. Which is good, because while I love the emotional investment and the fire, there’s a dividing line somewhere and a limit somewhere that I’’m becoming a little concerned about Fran approaching. I hope my concerns are oversensitivity on my part.

Like what portion of last night's tantrums (McCaffery's and the team's) were rightful protests of overly aggressive MSU defense

and what portion was just a team pouting about the fact they were getting skunked?

I had the same thought. It’s good to show a little fire, but Iowa came away from that game looking more petulant than fierce.

Agreed, Cattlefeeder

Fran looked ready for blast-off

And listen to the crowd – they let out a collective “ooohhhh!” at about the 50 second mark in the video. I’m assuming that’s when Fran went bananas on the chair.

This Fran Episode

didn’t play real well on the afternoon sports discussion shows today.

Dan LeBatard and Tony Kornheiser really seemed to disapprove, but Wilbon and LeBatard’s Dad seemed to like it.

I can’t remember what Jim Rome said about it, but I can’t imagine it was good, if anything.

I don’t watch SportsNation, so I don’t know if they mentioned it at all.

I'd much rather have Fran in blast-off mode

than Lickliter sitting on the bench with his head in his hands, carrying a look of defeat.

Has Fran tried the Xanax-enhanced gum yet?

I am pretty sure there is a stash in the football offices somewhere.
