Looks about right
Too bad you couldn’t work McNutt/Davis/KMM in there, but no complaints.
I’ll be excited if we hold UL-M to 16 points also. Norm has finally figured out the spread! Kind of!
Excellent work.
If Iowa is trailing 16-3 on Saturday I will be lying down in a busy intersection and will probably miss the comeback.
Correct me if I am wrong
But I believe by leaving in disgust, you are allowed to take credit for the come back. I am pretty sure that is how it works. You know the Hawks would never have come back if you continued to watch.

However
If you leave because it’s too cold, you get NO credit for the comeback. Just clarifying for people who went home at halftime in 2008 against PSU. I have a friend who tries to pull that shit. I don’t let it happen.
Likewise, we can blame mediacom for Iowa's failure to come back against ISU
They were supposed to show the game on mediacom channel 22. The entire first half, the screen jumped about every 5 or 10 seconds. They didn’t even show the second half. mediacom hates Iowa.
I blame Fox Sports
Clearly the momentum turned for good during that inexplicable video blackout when we were treated to audio only coverage.

Kirk Ferentz hates 400 yard passing games...
Ha! I’d like to read that story.

The last picture...

The second picture, of KOK petting Vandy on the head
is extremely creepy looking.

As I hit the last picture
I suddenly had that “everybody’s free” song from the s2 premiere of venture bros in my head.
Good work all around.

So Vandenberg is a killer quarterback?
…and Kinnick is an aquarium?
So this means he will be transferring. Thanks.

I though Parcells finally retired from all NFL duties
I ate the blue ones ... they taste like burning.
So Meyer is going to miss an extra point?
Even after Normus got him his confidence back?
Surely JVB will not be stopped on two drives that require field goals. He is an unstoppable killing machine.

Score the last TD as time expires
ULM is down 8 and driving for the potential tying TD (with 2 pt. conversion) when Micah Hyde returns an interception 100 yards for a TD. I am convinced that the only way Iowa can win anymore is by a 4th quarter Micah Hyde interception.
I didn't get to see anything after the weather delay
I was at the Reds/Cards game in St Louis. I was just assuming that’s how that game ended, too.
Am I alone here
Or is KOK’s face on that kid’s head disturbing? Not sure why but it is kind of creeping me out.

Uh oh
BTN says that they’re showing the Michigan game over the Iowa game on Comcast in Denver. That blows.
You don't get multiple BTNs?
I get the Iowa-ULM game here in PA, but only in Standard Def apparently.
Me too
Anyone in the greater Richmond area getting it on HD?
I ate the blue ones ... they taste like burning.
I'm in Fredericksburg and will have it in HD...
But I won’t be home to see it live…Sorry Hoya.
I’ll be watching the DVR on Sunday.

That sucks too.
Oh well, there is always the Sports Column. Although that gets to be more of hassle the older I get.

Yeah I haven't been there since the Orange Bowl 2 years ago
It’s fun, but I don’t have to drive home from my couch.

Or getting up at the crack of dawn
and dragging yourself down to stand in line to actually get a seat. Not that the coeds and pork tenderloins aren’t worth the trip…
I miss seeing Sharm too.
Don’s Mixed Drinks ( a few short blocks from my house) used to be an unofficial Iowa bar, which was real convienent but the Iowans who worked there moved on and Jon turned in into a Gamecocks handout.

I seem to recall there being some Iowa banners hanging from the ceiling in about 2008.

It's odd that they're showing the Iowa game over the Michigan game on Dish and Direct
Too late to get satellite for the weekend?

Geez, thanks for reminding me
what a hellhole it is here. 300+ days of sunshine, the view of the mountains in the morning off the deck, playing golf 10 months a year, skiing on the 4th of July—what was I thinking? There are Clones living here for the love of god! If you’ll excuse me, I need to go re-examine my life choices…

You can golf in Denver for 10 months a year?!
by The Mexican't on Sep 22, 2011 8:44 PM CDT up reply actions 1 recs
You can. I have.
Of course it takes a certain amount of fortitude and dedication some years. Others you can go all year round no problrm.

by MileHi Hawkeye on Sep 22, 2011 10:01 PM CDT up reply actions
I was more suprised about skiing on the 4th of July
Then I remembered how much snow was still there when I was there at the end of July. And there are a few glaciers, so I guess it’s possible. I know people golf there year round, used to drive by a course on my way to work and I would see people out there any sunny day when snow wasn’t on the ground.
That's it, I'm taking La Familia Mexican't to Colorado.
If I’m going to deal with Winter, I’d better be able to golf for 80% of the year.
by The Mexican't on Sep 23, 2011 10:11 AM CDT up reply actions
The thing is that you don't really have to deal with winter
The secret is that you basically deal with a few big snow storms at times of year the rest of the country thinks is odd (Sept-Oct. and March-April). Most of the “winter” is around 50 and sunny. When you get a big storm the snow melts the day or two afterwards and life is back to mild and sunny.
In Denver you mean?
That’s even better.
by The Mexican't on Sep 23, 2011 11:23 AM CDT up reply actions
Yes, that is winter along the front range.
You just have to deal with [redacted political religious cultural references]. And ex-Californians.
And all those damn Iowans.
Oh wait, I meant Nebraskans. No, make that Nebraskans and Texans. Yeah, that’s it. Iowans are totally cool.
Just remember kids—the left lane is for passing, especially in the mountains..
