Much to this poster's relief, the Purdue ticket office has allowed me to reserve a block of tickets without having to put down any sort of deposit. This is great news from the logistical perspective since it means we won't have to deal with the messy business of figuring out how to get money from one place to another and then actually distributing tickets on game-day (ask Ross how much fun this is).
What it does mean, though, is that I will need to forward an email blast with a promotional code attached for the game. I would prefer not to put it out in public because I need to have so solid way to track how many tickets are being sold and to whom. Sooooooo, this is what I need:
If you want to come to the game (and please, only serious interest here) please send an email to my public account with the approximate number of tickets you want and both your real name and BHGP handle. If you have friends who want in but aren't on the site that's OK too, just have them email me themselves. Obviously, since you'll be buying the tickets yourself you can get however may you'd like but it will help me determine whether I need to expand or contract the block I've reserved. Once I've gotten everyone's email I'll send out a mass email (read your subject lines carefully so you're not deleting suspected spam) with the details. If we can sell over 50 tickets it would actually drop the price to only $34, which is nice because online fees will be about $6. Cut-off needs to be no later than Sep. 17 as there's a shitload of other planning that is going into this. I thank you all for your cooperation and patience. I'm really looking forward to this and go Hawks!
