Is jNW being intentionally ironic?
jNW believes that Dan Persa is a Heisman Candidate. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. But is sending dumbbells to voters meant to be ironic? I mean jNW are supposed to be the nerds of the Big 10, right? Or are they just Armani wearing hipster bros trying to be clever?
Which would be worse though them actually trying to ironic or not realizing the irony in what they are doing?
I've now spent far too much time contemplating this.

You gotta hand it to them..
When Heisman voting comes around, what are the voters going to remember most? The trading card that Baylor sent around or those stupid purple dumbbells with that godawful quote stamped on them? You know, the ones you tried to give to your wife but even she stopped doing Farrell’s long enough to throw them out?
And when the machine breaks down, we break down.
If they can trick ESPN
into thinking jNW is in the SEC now, they might have a chance. At getting airtime.
No matter how good Persa is, I doubt he has the supporting cast to become a legitimate contender.

Won't the folks at
Livestrong and Armystrong have something to say about “Persastrong”? I’m no lawya, but I smells a copycat when I sees one.

Personally, i think Persa is one of the best QBs in the nation
if not the best. Unfortunately he has no chance, because of two things. 1, if you dont make it to a BCS bowl, you almost have no chance, and 2. i get the feeling that its coming down to the Moore or Luck, and nothing short of an Injury to both of them or someone going absolutely superman and breaking all records during the season will change that

Moore, Luck, and LaMichael James
Persa stands no chance for every reason you mentioned. Too much hype around the other candidates to overcome.
Brad Banks managed to almost come out of nowhere, but this seems like an eternity ago before ESPN had their full favorites/propaganda machine up and running.
Plus it will be hard for Persa to win the Heisman with Mike Daniels crapping on his chest all of Week 7.

Somthing tells me Moore won't win
unless he puts up some sort of Timmy-Chang-esque season. And even then, if BSU loses a game, he’s probably done for.
