Something Smells Like $#!+ and It's tWWL
Some of you may not read tWWL very often, but I try to read a lot of what Bruce Feldman writes. Apparently, tWWL decided to suspend "review his workload" after Feldman co-authored Mike Leach's book, Swing Your Sword. After a twitterbomb, tWWL decided maybe that was a bad idea. They had also signed off on his agreement to write with Leach.
Of note, his twitter feed stopped on Wednesday (a prodigeous tweeter), his weekly Friday mailbag is not posted today, etc.
One more reason to question every thing tWWL shovels down our throats.

Every time I see ESPN described as tWWL
I keep subconsciously reading it as “KWWL”
And then I wonder if Rule 34 of the internet applies to Paula Sands.
I have the same fashion sense as Tom Arnold.
I do, too, sometimes.
Which also helps to identify locals.

Random thoughts about ESPN
I know they’re part of a massive corporation, and I know that means they have to keep a ton of stuff under their thumb.
But sometimes, they make a mountain out of a mole-hill. So, some writer that only 100k people even know of, helped Mike Leach write a book that will probably whine and bitch about Craig James and his family. Who cares? Only 50k people are going to buy Leach’s book anyway, so nobody will care.
But, you start screwing with a man’s job (which was to write) and censoring him, then people get pissed. Especially when the twitter gets turned off. I don’t think we are Iran, yet, right?
Meanwhile, half the guys employed at ESPN are humping anything that moves behind the scenes, and ESPN was really not responsible about that for so long, it makes a person sick.
Finally, I’d like to hate ESPN as much as anyone else does, but America has bigger issues right now, so this Feldman issue will (actually, already did) get its day-and-a-half of attention, and the its back to the decadence and decline of the USA.

Yes, we do have bigger problems.
But isn’t ESPN part of the bigget problems ( a lack of focus on education, trying to divide the populace through sensationalism, etc.).
Feldman is known as a guy that does things the right way (due diligence, actual investigative reporting), and usually writes goid things about the Hawkeyes when they deserve it and bad things when they deserve. He’s kinda the antithesis of Pat Forde.

There's that
And you know Leach’s publisher has to ecstatic over this, more free publicity for the book than they could hope for in a monthly ad campaign.
I ate the blue ones ... they taste like burning.

My biggest regret is not cutting Adam James sooner.
Or something like that.
Is the best quote ever.
I'll just put COMING SOON down here.
Free publicity is good when it's because someone else acted stupid.
If ESPN hadn’t done this with Feldman, Leach’s book would probably have gotten A LOT less publicity. I won’t read this book (unless I get it as a gift), but I’m betting a lot of pople may end up buying the book because of what happened and then like tWWL even less.

Meh, people get over their dislikes of media pretty quickly
Especially when the media at question has so much more of our time at their hands.
I don’t think Fox News is going to suffer greatly from their white-glove treatment of Rupert Murdoch’s scandal, and I don’t think ESPN will be greatly affected by this one.

I would buy this book,
if it is for about $6 at Barnes and Noble, or $1 at Dollar Tree.
