Just this spring, Iowa got a walk on commitment from an Independence, IA native who already has a year at Iowa under his belt.  His name is Cameron Hayward and he played football, wrestled, and did track in high school, performing well at all.  After turning down football scholarships from multiple smaller programs, Cam chose Iowa and played on the rugby team in his freshman year.

Just a few weeks ago he agreed to walk on to the football program as a defensive lineman under the terms he be allowed to keep his position as an RA.  He's serving as a Hawkeye Guide this summer, helping bring in the new freshman class into life at Iowa and lead them in the ways of the Hawkeyes.  He's a gentle giant, kind hearted, creative, hilarious, and no matter what you may call Brad Rogers, Mr. Hayward will remain The Cambus in my mind.
