help me organize a beer festival

Stay connected for news and updates

Hey team,

So I'm on the board for Dubuque Oktoberfest, it's an outdoor festival this year on Saturday September 10 that benefits Camp Albrecht Acres, a summer spot for handicapped children run much in the style of Camp Courageous.  And yes, I know the game against North Central Iowa Tech & Ag is the same day but I'll be damned if I ever tailgate in that humanitarian crisis that is void of all basic sanitation and cell phone services again.  So, we're trying to firm up some plans for bands and breweries and what not; I was thinking of places on the web that have a great number of beer snobs and music snobs and it just so happens that we have many of both here.  Please click along and help me out.

This event is in its third year and last year we had about 8 breweries, mostly from Eastern Iowa and Southern Wisconsin.  We had gloomy stormy weather and moved to our rain location.  We still had over 800 people.  This year we are shooting for over 20 brewers, we will have a better stage/sound/band setup and are looking for almost 2000 people.  So, comment away, do your best and let me know which brewery you love, which one you work for, which one you spend a lot of time and money at, which one you would love to see at an outdoor beer tasting like this and is within a reasonable radius for them to do so...in short, help me do my (volunteer) job.
