(Very nifty video, especially now when we're starved for football. FYI: you may want to play the music over headphones, though. It might be a little NSFW.)
Micah Hyde interception from the Insight Bowl. I tried to make it look animated by reducing the playback speed and frame rate while using a plug in called Cartoonr by NewBlueFX on Sony Vegas 9. The song is from a porno and is called "Special Delivery" so you know it will be catchy. Cartoon Kirk Ferentz loves it.

Oh my! It's getting sexy up in here!
Co-mingling football and degenerate sex might be too much for my thin moral boundaries to handle. Is that music public — or should I say pubic — domain?
Well done!
Excuse me for my bellicosity. And spelling. Bellicosity and spelling.

he actually lays down
a great block on Binns, really good form for a quarterback. He just didn’t realize he was suppose to be trying to tackle Hyde.

That's what I thought
I was like, why the hell are you trying to block somebody while you’re on defense. Since I couldn’t think of any other reason, I just chalked it up to shitting his pants.

If someone does a preview video of Iowa Football next year
they must use this music and effects. completely epic
by justsomehawkeyefan on Feb 11, 2011 12:56 PM CST reply actions
I'm going to try and make some more.
I applied the same effect to a 9 minute 2009 Iowa Wisconsin video I had made, but didn’t change the frame rate or speed because it would have screwed up all the existing cuts. Plus since that was an outside day game, the color isn’t the same throughout the game, and the effect would have to be tweeked for each cut. I already have some great music picked out for future ones.
I’ll upload it to youtube this weekend and post it.

That song sounds like the beginning of about a half-dozen Kyuss songs.
Cool video, though.

Glad you like it. Were you the one who bumped it?
Not sure why it is blown out on the front page. I used the embed code from youtube. It looks like it is set for the same 640×390 sizing that the Johnny Mac video used.
Are there specific settings that work best?
by HawkeyeRecon on Feb 11, 2011 3:59 PM CST up reply actions
I did, yeah.
I’m not sure why it would look different or what settings work best, to be honest.
"I want to be a cowboy. I don't want to be a panda. Pandas are boring, stupid and boring. Bad panda!"
Me either
I actually ended up copying the code from the Johnny Mac vid on BHGP and putting the URL from Youtube of my vid, and it was still blown out. The specs I published my vid originally were higher than the youtube specs, but I still don’t know why its blown out here. I tried editing it several times but it still was to wide.
Different story: Tonight in Orlando at a self proclaimed upscale bar I saw a big guy shove a little guy (who did nothing) that ended up bleeding profusely from the head. I didn’t know either of them but I made sure the bouncers knew what happened, and 10 min later 7 of Orlando’s finest had the perpetrator cuffed and feeling very remorsefull. If you are drunk at a bar, don’t shove some non threatening dude, because he could easily end up concussed and bleeding profusely on the floor, and you could quickly end up face down with cops threatening to mace you directly in the eyes. What’s kind of interesting is that as this happened, the cops really didn’t care that they had a witness (me) to the original violence. I know the Sgt in charge, and told him I saw the whole thing. Despite their quick reaction, nobody gave a fuck. Must be a lot of paperwork, or maybe something I didn’t see was involved. The DJ bought me a shot, and I left because there was no good reason to stay. If a squad of cops show up and stomp a dude because you told the bouncers, but the cops don’t want to hear what you have to say, GTFO of there because nothing good will follow.

Kyuss rules.
QOTSA rules
Them Crooked Vultures rules
Eagles of Death metal were solid, but not THAT great.
Josh Homme just rules all around.

Yup.
“Welcome to Sky Valley” (aka self-titled) is one of my all-time favorite albums. QOTSA is very hit or miss (mostly miss), with “R” and “Songs…” being amazing. I like Fu Manchu better. Couldn’t ever get into EoDM.

I just assumed it was Medeski Martin and Wood
Wasn’t sure why the music would be NSFW. I kept waiting for some random obscenities to be screamed over the top.
Also, that software is clearly racist as it made everybody white.

Not sure if any of you follow search engine optimization, but...
Within about 16 hours of me uploading this vid on Youtube, it became one of the top video results on Google’s organic video results for searches relating to Micah Hyde and the Insight Bowl. While that is a very unique and targeted search parameter, I would guess its quick indexing and rapid incorporation into Google’s results is because the Youtube video quickly received more traffic than the usual upload would. It is amazing how quickly a post on a well respected website like Blackhawkgoldpants.com can lead to being indexed in Google’s different searches.
Well respected?
Don’t get me wrong, I consider myself a part of this community, but I won’t go nearly so far as to say we’re “well respected” – nor would I want it any other way.
Please note that the internet does not, as of yet, have a sarcasm font.
Well-trafficked rather than well-respected, maybe.

I really honestly
think that’s The Bakerton Group. Those riffs sound 100% Tim Sult. For those who don’t know(anyone who mentions Kyuss and Fu Manchu would know, because both of those bands are AWESOME) the Bakerton Group is all the guys in Clutch doing instrumental jams. Someone back me up on this, because that sounds DEAD on like Clutch with no vocals.

I have 'El Rojo," and it's not on that album.
Might be on the other one though – the EP. The Bakerton Group is fucking great. And I love love LOVE Clutch.

The movie the song is from is from the 1970s, and is called "A Happy Ass."
