PrintOnly one more day of regular season college football to go this year. Which is sad.
The day gets going with the Conference USA title game (Houston v. Southern Miss) on ABC, some Big East games on the ESPNs (don't laugh! Okay, you can laugh a little bit), and Iowa St-Kansas St on FSN. And if you're not into CFB action, there's a pretty tasty-looking basketball game (UNC-Kentucky) on CBS.
We'll have a separate game thread for the Iowa-Brown hoopyball game later.
The usual rules of open threading apply: no links to illegal online streams, no porn, no politics, no religion, no slurs (including calling people or things "gay"), yadda yadda yadda.

You gotta congratulate college football.
They’re the only sport that can make “Championship Saturday” completely meaningless. College basketball (UI/Gonzaga, UK/UNC. Purdue/Xavier) is killing it today.
That's more due to
the fact that most of the “big” title games are tonight (B10, ACC) or last night (Pac 12).
Just because basketball is willing to begin at 10 or 11 AM, doesn’t mean it will win the day.

Since an Alabama-LSU rematch is all but guaranteed, I want the BCS system to be further exposed for the hypocritical sham that it is.
If I have to see a MNC game between two teams that already played in the regular season (“but every game in the college football season IS a playoff!”), then I want to see that matchup be between two schools who DID NOT EVEN WIN THEIR OWN CONFERENCE.

The researchers were getting one manatee into the boat for research-y things…and it started thrashing around and scared everybody out of said boat. He (she?) was pretty hard to bring down, so maybe that’ll be helpful?

I looked up some recipes,
some recipes use multiple liquors, some use brandy, some use whiskey, most use rum of some type.
I used HyVee egg nog and Kraken Black Rum. It was OK.

I guess he was born in College Station, TX (TAMU). I’m not sure how long he lived there in his youth.

UNC will be a 1-2 seed and they’re not a team that’ll lose to a 7-10 seed (28th-40th best team). They’ll be really tough come tourney time when HB decides to take games over again.

They did lose to UNLV a week ago.
Right now, UNC is still one of about 3 or 4 candidates that can win the national title, but I’m not sure they are still the slam-dunk pick that they were a month ago.

Let's not "crown their asses" yet.
I realize the OSU win was nice, but they are still “only” .500.
They finished 8th in the Big 12 (while losing twice the amount of conference games that they won, and today was their closest conference loss).
They beat UNI, Iowa, UConn, and Kansas by a combined 11 points.
A week or two ago, I was trying to convince myself that ISU might be a decent team (so that I wouldn’t feel bad about Iowa’s loss to them), but I’m starting to think that they had one really nice Friday night (OSU), one nice Saturday night (TTech) surrounded by a ton of mediocrity or worse.
