Bowl Practices
Does anyone know what time Iowa holds their bowl practices at Chaparral High? I would like to be able to meet some of the players after practice is over since I know that the practices themselves are closed to the public.
I need to get to 75 words so blah blah blah blah blah blah blah go hawks blah blah blah blah go hawks blah blah blah blah go hawks blah blah blah blah blah go hawks

Update
For anyone who who like to know, the practices are completely closed off. Last year, the practices themselves were closed, but the players came by the entrance and you could talk to them and get pictures, autographs, etc.
This year, everything is completely closed off, and no contact is allowed at all with anyone from the general public. When I went to the practice, I was told this by the security guard and was also told to leave immediately.

This is getting ridiculous
The game of football is for the fans and the players. The fans fund it, and the players make it happen. The fact that this Ferentz regime is looking more like a gestapo internment camp than a football program should be setting off alarms somewhere. I hope he realizes that when he is a dick to the media he is really being a dick to his supporters.

closing practices = "gestapo internment camp" 3 posts in.
That got out of control quickly.

With all the news
I think it is less about the public and more about media. The Coker plus Kaczenski deals and probably still questions about Norm and who his replacement will be. Questions about the M&M deal and if he is going to leave/who will replace them. I think this is the right call by KF, he had to deal with pre-bowl game issues last year and got the team in a good spot. I would trust his judgment on this.

It's not a matter of closing practice
I can understand why Ferentz would not want practices open to the public, and I assume a lot of schools are the same way. It was the same way last year. I was just a little surprised that fans aren’t allowed to meet any of the players after practice is over and they are on their way to the bus. Last year, Iowa was dealing with suspensions and such as well, and kids still had a chance to meet some of their favorite players and get pictures taken with them, and everything was fine.
It’s certainly not a big deal, I was just a little surprised to see that is not allowed this year.
