Iowa Dominates Little Brother With Help of ESPN
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Iowa's TV ratings victory. If you'll recall, the Insight Bowl was dead last in last year's bowl TV ratings (a partial byproduct of its being on NFL Network, I would imagine). The Insight Bowl this year earned a 2.25 rating, not bad for a late kick on a weeknight.
See that big right-facing bar in the middle? That'd be the Iowa-Mizzou Insight Bowl. The total ratings are here.
H/T to Marc Morehouse for pointing this out on Twitter. A few notables: The Orange Bowl was down one percent this year after its ratings went up 26 percent, as per Adam Rittenberg this time last year. Also, you'll notice Northwestern's bowl game isn't here, as it was on ESPNU; remember, if you're going to lose, do it in an ignominious fashion.
