The Cyclone Conspiracy

 
So THIS is how it's going be, hmmmm, Iowa State?  You thought you could get away with your little shenangins, but not on Cornshoe's watch! I'm on to you and I have the evidence to prove it.

As I typically do, I made it into Kinnick about an hour before kick-off to watch the boys warm up and snap a few photos.  Of particular interest was how Ricky Stanzi was looking.

                                        Good form, old chap, good form!

As with the rest of the crowd, I was horrified at Ricky going down in a heap and limping to the sideline in the second quarter. Thankfully he returned. On the radio Gary and Ed were speculating as to the cause of Ricky's tumble.  I finally put two and two together when I got home today and looked through my pictures from the game.

Here is shocking evidence of just how far the Cyclones will to go mess with our season:

Yes, that is Iowa State quarterback Austen Arnaud clearly tampering with Stanzi's knee in pre-game warm-ups.  It makes perfect sense. The Cyclones played on Thursday, so Arnaud was free to try to tip the scales in Iowa State's favor for next Saturday by sabotaging our leader.

Well nice try you sneaky bastard.  We won't be fooled again.  There is only one appropriate response for the Cyclone Conspiracy: The Clayborn Supremacy.

     Uh Austen? Mr. Clayborn would like a word with you. Several words actually.

We'll see you 'Clowns on Saturday. And don't even think about trying something like this again, or I'm bringing my civil war cannon to Ames.  On second thought, you already could probably fire a cannon in that place during a game and not hit anyone...
