Watching Iowa vs EIU game out of market
Hey, I am trying to find out how I can watch the Iowa Eastern Illinois game. I live in Maine and the Big Ten Network is showing the Penn State Youngstown State game instead. Is there a Big Ten Network alternative programming that anyone knows about that would show the out of market game? I'm pissed!!! I've been pumped for this season since about a week after we punsihed Georgia Tech. Any suggestions would be awesome!!!! Go Hawks!!

Alternative Channels?
Directv broadcasts three or four different BTN channels at a time. Channel 610 is the primary regional feed, but 611-614 are reserved for alternative feeds of BTN for exactly the situation that you’re talking about.
Also, Comcast in Chicago does something similar, but the additional feeds aren’t consecutive like they are on Directv.

BTN has a game finder
www.bigtennetwork.com/gamefinder
Use that link to find the alternate channels for your carrier
THANK YOU!
Fantastic link! Apparently Houston is getting PSU on the main feed also. Boo.

Houston also
used to not carry Conan O’Brien, so there’s that precedent for stupid programming decisions.
Less memorable than Sam Okey's Hawkeye career.

There is that. Fortunately, I have only been in Houston for about 21 months.
Oh, god… that’s way too long. GETMEOUTTAHERE!

Alright, I’m going to call one of my buddies that has Direct tv and see if he has it. The BigTen Network’s website hasn’t been updated yet. It still says that my area doesn’t get Big Ten Network with Time Warner because we just started getting it this year. Thanks for your help
just go on your channel guide and see where the BTN channels are and switch to them
right now. IF they are broadcasting….jackpot. That’s what i did when my carrier just began carriing the BTN
"I wish you luck with a capital 'F'" - The Real Elvis.
Don't forget to look at All Channels,
not just the channels on your personalized favorites list. I have DirecTV, and they switch these channels around about every 6 or 9 months, so I had to add a channel to my favorites to ensure I could find the Hawkeye game.

Out here in Los Angeles...
The biggest cable carrier (unfortunately the one I have) Time Warner does not carry the BTN. BUT NO PROBLEM, I am driving to Barney’s Beanery on the ocean in Santa Monica to join all the members of the So Cal Hawkeye Fan Club to watch it on the Beanery’s huge screen satellite TV. (Did I mention half off ALL drinks if you’re wearing Hawks’ gear?!)
That sounds awesome...
but I’ll be in the Kinnick South End Zone.
All the $5 Diet Cokes I can handle!

They started carrying the BTN this year, but I can’t find any alternative program channels so i got Penn State instead of Iowa.

They often don't show the programming on the guide
for the alternative channels until the day of. The game still isn’t showing on the guide for me (and I have Dish Network), but that game finder link ensured me of where I could eventually find it. If the game finder isn’t helping you out, the programming will probably show up on the guides tomorrow morning.
I've been to Barney's for 2 games
and based on the results, I’m not sure I’ll be going back. I was there for the Illinois game in 2008, and the UNI game last year (which was on my birthday).
The atmosphere is great though, and the half off your order for wearing Iowa gear is certainly acceptable to me!

Webcasts?
Does anyone know of any webcasts for the game? I’m going to be stuck at work.
Hatred Walking
Maybe a radio station might have a live radio feed online?
Other than what Jacobi said, I doubt that you’ll find an “authorized” video stream.
