AJ Edds may have torn ACL
"On the fourth day of his first training camp, Miami Dolphins rookie linebacker A.J. Edds believes he suffered a torn ACL that will likely sideline him for the entirety of his first season, two sources said Tuesday morning.
Edds, who was expected to make an immediate impact as a third-down player at the inside position, suffered the injury Monday. He wore a large ice bag on his knee as he watched practice during the evening session from the sideline."

That is a bummer.
But at least he had a 4 year contract, which means the Dolphins will be more likely to actually invest in his rehab rather than simply cut him.
I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber. Didn't want to do it. I felt I owed it to them.

Wow, he really takes emulating Greenway to the extreme.

My first thought as soon as I saw the news. That sucks for AJ, but perhaps it’ll simply allow him to become an amazing NFL linebacker?
So, Nielsen = 2nd rounder to the Jets plus blown ACL on way to signing first contract?

GODDAMMIT!
Man, seriously. I hope he didn’t tear it. :( I thought MIA was going to have some real coverage play…
This always breaks my heart.
Whether it’s a knee injury or not, getting sidelined in camp can ruin a lower draft pick’s career before it even starts. See: Arrington, Adrian.

I hope to see AJ back as the Iowa AD some day but not until
after a long and rewarding NFL career. He is a decent young man who will do well for himself even if the NFL doesn’t pan out.
If you feel like singing along, don't.
