I wasn't gonna post this, but after discovering the "gift" my wife gave me this morning, I figured I had to.

I married into a Gopher family - season ticket holders, the whole bit.  Last night my wife and her stepmom attended the Gopher Nation Women's Clinic.  They participate in some team drills, learn basics of the game, meet players, have dinner, and generally try to forget the fact that they open the season as 4 point underdogs to Middle Tennessee State.

According to my wife, at the end of the evening the team captains (Adam Webber, Brandon Kirksey, and Jon Hoese) fielded questions from the seated throng of gopher fans.  One question in particular was interesting - "What game are you most looking forward to?"  Their answer began diplomatically- taking it game by game, blah, blah, blah.  But then Webber and the captains admitted that the Iowa game was on their minds.  Now that may be because it's senior night for them, but I thought it was funny that it would even come up at this point in the season.

Then I woke up this morning to find this "gift" posted for me on the fridge:

(It says: "To Patrick, Boo Hawks! Go Gophers! Tim Brewster"  Yes.  He used two exclamation points.)
