As I've been really, really, really desperately awaiting Sept 4th, I've been watching a lot of the Big Ten Network's replays. A few things I've noticed is that Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State have played in a lot of the conference's "greatest games". It makes sense, they tend to win the conference, they go to the best bowl games, these games become classics. It doesn't bother me since those teams earned what they got.
My question is whether or not Penn State's great games from their period of independence should really count as the Big Ten's greatest games. I don't really care most of the time, I'm still getting to watch great college football games. Of course this sets the precedence for a lot of coverage for 1990s Nebraska. Yay.... Does this bother anybody? Are we all apathetic about it? Is it any different for Nebraska since they were in a conference and not independent before joining the Big Ten?
