BLACK HEART GOLD PODCAST 34A: Tim Dwight Joins BHGP

Still my favorite Iowa highlight of all time.

As part of the Iowa Touchdowns For Kids fundraiser, we've been lucky enough to be joined by a couple gentlemen who are both notable Hawkeyes on and off the field. The first, as you've surmised from the headline, is the legendary Tim Dwight.

Dwight now spends his time with his company, Integrated Power, and working with his youth football camp and foundation. He's also passionate about the work the UI Children's Hospital does, and some of the $75,000 raised by his foundation has gone to the UICH. I guess you could say "TD4TD4K," right? Yes? No? Maybe? But probably no?

At any rate, we're glad Tim Dwight spent a half hour with us (well, just me) for this podcast, and we hope you'll spend a fraction of that time and just a dollar per Iowa Hawkeye touchdown to help us support Iowa Touchdowns For Kids. Podcast is on iTunes and below.

Wow, Tim Dwight must have been pretty good.

I’m glad he never did anything to TOTALLY RUIN A RAINY PENN STATE HOME GAME FOR ME.

Hope

We find another Tim Dwight-esque return man soon. This year would be nice.

I was hoping Brandon Wegher might be up to the task.

Looks like we will have to look elsewhere.

Who

is supposed to be our Inexplicably Great White Wide Reciever this season? Sandeman?

Though, unlike Dwight in the clip above, Sandeman’s last encounter with a MSU defender nearly got him killed…

If I were a coach,

I would put a guy like Bobby Sanders at the WR position for a few plays each game. His job would be to layout DB’s when they’re not paying any attention. I think that’d change the game a little and keep plays like the one that happened to Sandeman in check. You know, put the fear of God into those fools.

Come to think of it, I think I would make a great coach*.

*Denotes a great coach as compared to the Zooker, Play4Brew, and DickRod. (Actually, not great at all.)

DJK will take more than a couple to the house.

He does not have Dwight’s all out straight line speed but he makes up for it with excellent field vision and use of his blockers along and with enough speed to out run 95% of those chasing him.

34A?

Why’d you put Timmy D in the crappy basement appartment of podcasts?

That's okay...

…tomorrow he will have the greatest breakfast he has ever tasted.

Anybody else get flashbacks of "The Chris Farley Show"?

AJ: Um…you remember that time…that you were…with the, um…when you scored that touchdown?

TW: Yeah Adam.

AJ: That was awesome!

Iowans...

it’s impossible for us to start a conversation without mentioning the weather.

Excuse me for my bellicosity. And spelling. Bellicosity and spelling.

It's not just Iowans

It’s anybody. Oh, and everyone thinks their own weather is the craziest.
