MAIZE PANTS PODCAST #2: ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY

Ote_medium

The second edition of Maize Pants finds Dave and HS spending some quality time with Graham Filler, co-founder of Off Tackle Empire (formerly The Rivalry, Esq.), the SB Nation Big Ten juggernaut.  He talks fast.  We talk fast.  You might want to slow it down on the iPod, if only to make the magic last a little longer.

Listen below.  The iTunes linkup is pending.

Every time Ohio State and MIchigan play at Indiana—and at Illinois and NW for that matter—it’s a de facto home game for the more popular team. Why can’t we get in on some of that?

Because you guys don't want to go to Bloomington?

At least don’t be so nakedly obvious about making it a de facto home game.

Well, technically, I haven't been on the Slow States podcast yet.

But three? Four? I lost count.

Before you respond, let me remind you: Brian Cook called me smug, which makes me the Obama of smugness. I'm basically Smugbama.

Love the Podcast.

Grahm was an awesome guest and he had wealth of knowledge. Thanks Hawkeye State and Dave for putting that on. Always enjoy listening to the podcasts.

I'm sorry that I'm going to ask this...

because it means I haven’t checked in on The Rivalry in at least 2 or 3 weeks, but why did they change the name? While I normally hate Michigan and especially OSU self-important posturing, The Rivalry, Esq. was the only thing in that category that I actually liked.

I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber. Didn't want to do it. I felt I owed it to them.
