Tarpinian Update: Crisis Averted
Today Kirk Ferentz attended the Hawkeye Marching Band's annual picnic, where we got to ask him some questions. He gives Donahue a "slim" chance of winning the Heisman this year. I then asked him how Tarpinian's hand was doing. His lack of twitter/interweb knowledge showed when he swore that the only way I could know he was hurt was if I was: A) Living next to Tarp or B) using some sort of spy satellite or UAV to spy on practices. Coach Ferentz then confirmed that a bone in Jeff Tarpinian's hand was broken in a "freak incident" and that he had already had surgery and hoped to return to practice this week. Good news abounds.

Glad to hear it
Johnson would’ve been a great replacement but I think Tarp won the job over him for a reason and its good to know he won’t be out long.

Nice to see the team get through camp injury free, especially when you compare it to the walking wounded of last season.
This is all a coverup...
as Tarp really broke his wrist trying to perform an ultrasound on all 29 of Wegher’s future offspring, while at the same time holding DJK on a media leash.
I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber. Didn't want to do it. I felt I owed it to them.
