I have always defended the U of I's ticket office. I excpected ticket prices to increase this year, and I knew it was a matter of time before Carver would follow Kinnick's lead in charging a "donation" for premium seats. However, when I learned yesterday that they are now allowing people to set they're own price for tickets on the marketplace I was pretty pissed. The Marketplace was a great idea it allowed people who were offended by ticket scalping to safely sell they're tickets to other Iowa fans for actual price. Now the site is no better then Stubhub, Ebay, and other scalping pimp sites. For as much money as they have brought in this year I cannot believe they feel they have to get a piece of the ticket scalping action as well. This really seems disgusting to me, am I alone on this or do others feel the same way?
