Around SBN: Upon Further Review: Bo Knows Longreads

001

As Herr Hall mentioned at SBNation.com, a Tuscaloosa, Alabama (home of the Crimson Tide, of course) GameStop inserted this custom cover into every copy of NCAA 2011. Your move, Lexington.

What?!

That’s FUCKING AMAZING!!

Short of an Alabama-Iowa showdown, I’m cheering for Bama from now on…

Great job!

Man, that makes me smile.

Wow. That's kind of a total dick move on EA's part.

By which I mean “hahahaha that’s fucking awesome.”

I don't think EA has anything to do with this.

I’m gonna veture a guess and say that Gamestop paid a professional graphic artist to create that.

I do agree that it is pure genious to pull it off.

Who would Iowa fans put on a mocking cover?

Bielema? Brewster? Somber fan from PSU with the teddy bear on his head shown on ABC after Clayborn’s punt block?

Arnaud?

My vote

Sad Spartan fan or Dantonio after 7 got 6

Sad PSU girls were great.

As was dejected Spart fan after “7 got 6”

This needs to happen.

Sad PSU 2008 girl would be tempting.

But without knowing the context, that’s just another sad girl.

by Adam Jacobi on Jul 16, 2010 1:15 PM CDT up reply actions

That needs to happen

She actually looks like she played in the game. How does one get so damn dirty watching football?

And there's the answer

But she looks like she just broke out of prison . . . only to find herself in a world-shaped jail.

Actually

I thought it was bad acne-hiding makeup. No matter. ABC will probably do it’s own montage of her and the lion-hoodie girl before next year’s game. Those two plus MSU fan as a “faces of despair” montage would be nice. Still, I’m a positive sort of person and rather than show sad faces, I would put Tyler MF Sash with his first down pose on the cover.

I just noticed something

cause I R dum. They wiped out the bible verse Tebow always had on his eye black. Not surprising, I guess. Unless this was a game he didn’t have it on.

My Cover of the NCAA Football 2011

Any Americanzi-inspired ideas for the text on the back of the game?

I would love some BHGP forum-inspired ideas to throw into the final draft. This is my second draft, because I just couldn’t leave Sash out of it.

and if the two exhibition games I played against ISU and the UW are any guide, Derrell Johnson-Koulianos is going to win the freaking Heisman.

I’m going to buy the game so I can edit the rosters and change his name to “Black Tim-Dwight”.
