Where I Come From: EA Sports NCAA Football 2011 Available Now
This post is sponsored by EA Sports NCAA Football 2011 because OMG OMG OMG OMG IT'S HERE
And now, a word from our sponsors:
When you go to a particular school or grow up around college football, you are more than just a fan. It’s who you are. We thought we could leverage this pride in your roots and show that "where you come from" is more than just a statement about geography. By positioning NCAA Football 11 as a game that understands this pride and is authentic to these traditions, the takeaway should be that anything that is in college football is in NCAA Football 11.
And this doesn’t just include game play (though that’s a huge part of it). It’s rivals and mascots; it’s legends and stories. It’s those things that are at the very fabric of the game itself. Of course the game is great this year as well. With authentic entrances, mascots and specific offenses for each team, the term "where I come from" takes on a much larger meaning. While playing NCAA Football 11 is ultimately a great sports sim, it should also give you a sense of the pride and emotion one has for being a fan of a team they will never not be a part of.
As if you needed a reason to pick up the newest incarnation of NCAA Football, as has been pointed out in the fanposts, EA's rankings have Iowa fielding the #1 strong safety and #1 free safety in the nation this year. Epic Greenwood, indeed. Feel free to use the comment section to discuss roster files, trade screen names for online play, or talk about how that one sweep play you could run with the Chiefs on Tecmo Super Bowl always worked.

Initial Analysis
Weak Hawkeye offensive line still can stop my lurch with Michael Dean Perry.

With the Nigerian Nightmare
you didn’t run a sweep, you ran it right up the gut and watched eight-bit defenders fly backwards.
I do not care
for video games.
Sorry, EA Sports!
You’ll do fine without me!

Thanks for that.
I’m sure EA is glad to know they don’t need your support. Had you simply not responded to the article they may never have known.

Summer School...
Really puts a damper on this party. Now I have to wait until AFTER class to go to Best Buy. Waaaaaaaaaah.

I always used Barry, personally
That dude ran circles around everybody. The Nightmare was a badass, true, but Barry was so much more fun to watch juke and then get injured every third play.
Would it be out of line to go buy a new PS3/XBox
Just to buy NCAA 11?
Going, going, going, going, going, going, going, going.... Alright, I'll stop for now.
If it is, I'm also out of line.
I did it last week… although I also needed to get a new Blu Ray player… so yeah.
"I want to be a cowboy. I don't want to be a panda. Pandas are boring, stupid and boring. Bad panda!"
No, see, the thing is...
I’m traveling for work, and I didn’t bring my xbox or ps3 with me because I was an idiot, and also because I flew up here… and I won’t be going home anytime soon… SO… conundrum time. In retrospect, I should have packed either system and brought that with so that I don’t go stir crazy with gaming withdrawal.
Going, going, going, going, going, going, going, going.... Alright, I'll stop for now.

Do video stores still rent them out?
That’s always an option.

What is this, the early 90's?
Yeah, can I go ahead and rent the Sega Genesis as well as Road Rash 3?
Thanks….

I think Blockbuster here in CR still rents them out.

Good call, bro.
I will have to check the local video stores on that. If nothing else… I can probably go to GameStop and just play.

I liked to be the Falcons
just to be Deion Sanders and try to force a ton of interceptions by flying to wherever the ball was thrown. It didn’t work well, but it was fun.
Or the 49ers
And blast the offensive guys with Ronnie Lott.

I've only played one dynasty game, but my only gripe so far
Is that they have Iowa fans wearing white and it makes the stadium look like it’s empty. I’m sure there are gameplay issues, but I didn’t customize the schedule so my first game was against one of the I-AA schools and it wasn’t even semi-interesting.
I do enjoy the change to the recruiting, though.
I played one home exhibition game against ISUck
and noticed the side where the press box was is alot of white.

EA needs to update...
the hawks need to come out holding hands, there needs to be the flag guys in the corners for I-O-W-A, and NO POLKA!!! It wont even let you set your own victory song!

Alright
I have to ask. I bought a PS3 around Christmas time, and got NCAA ’10. Played it,, play it still, and in my most recent dynasty, have won the NCAA championship with Iowa from 2009 through 2017. Goal is to win 60 straight NCAA titles.
Anyway… is this game different enough to warrant me breaking my “once every 3 year” NCAA purchase schedule? I have ’05, ’08 and while technically I would need to get ’11, I broke that by buying ’10.
I’ve played the demo, and liked what I saw, but let’s face it. The demo provided little to nothing in terms of total gameplay.
Suggestions?
