MARCHIFORNICATION ROUND 2: TIM BREWSTER VS. BRENT METCALF
BOB ZOOK REGIONAL, SEED NO. 2: TIM BREWSTER
His Twitter feed has died down; the exclamation points have been considerably reduced. He basically took four months off. Still, Marchifornication is an annual event, and Brewster's Twittering through the fall was brilliant. The bizarre capitalization, the ridiculous misspelling, the punctuation...oh, the punctuation. It was as if Tim Brewster both coached Minnesota football and wrote SpartyMSU. To those of us who live on the series of tubes, the man is a national treasure.
BOB ZOOK REGIONAL, SEED NO. 3: BRENT METCALF
Sure, it's not really him (though if it is, the man becomes a folk hero), but The Brent Metcalf is the funniest Iowa character on Twitter. And this is coming from a group of people who write a couple. It's cruel and sarcastic and funny. It's all the things we love. This battle isn't solely over who is the best Twitterer; both combatants have done plenty more this year to benefit Iowa athletics and BHGP. But both are so prolific and insane on Twitter that it's a significant factor.
Enough talking. Who ya got?

I wanted to vote for Metcalf...
but Play4Brew has just been too much gold in terms of comedy this year.
Also, if it is not the actual Metcalf, then that takes it down a peg.

Once again, you guys all vote like sheep.
When did Metcalf change his feed name from “CaptainClark17”?

It's amazing what you'll believe...

When his team
won the NCAA championship.
Goodness, are we so jaded now that plagarism is blase and misappropriation is just another day on the interwebs? Timmeh did all of this and more. Metcalf does bear resemblance to a certain QB we know and love, but fortunately, he didn’t take his team down with him. The closest we had to a guy like that might be Stross vs. Ohio State. But his was a one-time deal and he paid in excess proportion for that. (cough, Murray, cough). Some of us do obsess with the goofers, but in this case, it’s deserved.
The biggest thing for me is that
If the Metcalf account is indeed him, there appears to be some sort of underlying humor that he knows he’s giving everyone.
With Brewster…dude is clueless as fuck.

He's not clueless, man.
This is all a big inside joke. We all know it. “Gopher Nation in Pasadena”? Are you kidding me? This is a man who has achieved Lane Kiffin like status of getting something by doing nothing, and his twitter feed is his way of winking at us.

Although Brewster's twitter feed was hilarious.
Metcalf’s continues to be pretty good. My vote was more of a “what have you done for me lately” type vote. Brewster’s inactivity is what’s hurting him.

That was my thoughts as well.
I think Brew’s recruiting woes hurt his Twitter feed.

Daryll Clark never took his deam down with him either. The offensive line screwed up this year, and the defense turned StanziBalls into HEROBALLS in 2008.
But anyway that’s all beside the point. Tim Brewster’s resume is just ridiculous. I voted for Ron Zook last week, but I came to regret this. Tim Brewster lost to Ron Zook last season. Metcalf has a twitter feed, Brewster has a twitter feed and so much, much, much more.

Early Weather Forecast is a warm and sunny spring day in East Lansing.. Where the sky is clearer, the sun is brighter, the grass is greener and football is better…
Has everyone bought Season tickets.. Spartan Stadium is expected to fill up again this year..

That… has got to be… some of the.. worst writing I have…. EVER … seen..
Brunettes not fighter jets
That's not even the worse post of theirs I've seen
They may have the worst butchery of language that I’ve ever seen outside of twitter or online gaming
It never gets to be easy

punctuation check
I pasted their front page on Word and it found 471 periods and 105 ellipses. Maybe their keyboard is stuck.
Who the hell is voting for Brewster over Metcalf this round?
Fucking commies, that’s who.

Commies > homers

Fake Metcalf never lost a bowl game to ISU.
At this point, Iowa should just declare themselves the world's 1st professional wrestling team and give the rest of the NCAA a chance.
Sure, but he did lose to an oompa loompa, right?
While a team of oompa loompas would certainly beat a Gene Chizik ISU team, they may not beat a Paul Rhoads ISU team. But it would be interesting and I wish they would simulate it with EA Sports.
