Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

There is always schadenfreude

Sitting in the glass house that is the Iowa BB program certainly leaves little room to throw stones.  However, the fact Iowa  may not have the most dysfunctional program in the State is worth at least a little snicker (or at least another round of inconsolableness for Pollard).

From Hlas:

It’s no surprise  Craig Brackins will turn pro, and it’s unfortunate Marquis Gilstrap has been denied a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA.

But now comes the news from Iowa State that men’s basketball players Justin Hamilton and Dominique Buckley are transferring. Unreal.

wonder if Pollard is going to email Brackins

and tell him, that because he didn’t stay all 4 years, he can’t be considered a true Cyclone athlete.

Furthermore, Brackins was actually a resource drain on the program

Scholarships, etc. cost money. And Brackins has never bought a single game ticket or made one contribution to the various fundraising arms of the ISU Athletic Department.

Here is Pollard's plan for ISU basketball:

If the mens’ team wants to be allowed to go to their own games for free, they have to buy a season-ticket to the womens’ games. And vice-versa. That is the sort of thing you have to do if you want to be competitive with Texas and Nebraska.

I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber. Didn't want to do it. I felt I owed it to them.

Don't forget,

The reason they can’t sell Jack Trice out is because it’s too crowded as configured. If there was seating for 70, 585 it would sell out in a minute, bringing in boatloads of money for the U.
