BLACK HEART GOLD PODCAST 22: CREEPYPALOOZA IN MONO
With National Signing Day upon us, we called longtime Friend of the Pants Brian Cook to discuss Big Ten recruiting. It took about three minutes for us to realize we know nothing about recruiting, so the podcast wanders into uncharted waters: The mGo/Maize n' Brew Civil War, the disappointments of basketball season, Michigan's winter of discontent, etc. A quick warning: This one gets slightly NSFW.

Brian is completely right
I hated how many times they played that damn “Tonight’s Gonna Be A Good Night” after the Michigan game. It was an awesome night, but that was because I didn’t hear the Black Eyed Peas once I got away from the stadium, and we threw the iPod on my friend’s stereo.
They took the bar, the whole fucking bar!

Despite making the trip to the IC, I opted to join our leaders downtown during the Michigan game
So I didn’t get to experience the Black Eyed Peas-athon. However, I don’t recall too much piped in music during the Penn State game from the year before. Is it something that was more common during 2009 than years prior?

It seriously didn't bug me
They only really played that part of it, and it actually made sense, so whatever. It got repetitive, but it wasn’t worth obsessing over months after the fact, especially since the rest of that day was so awesome.
Plus, it got cute undergrad girls excited, and I’m all for that.
Coming soon …

We can do that
Before you respond, let me remind you: Brian Cook called me smug, which makes me the Obama of smugness. I'm basically Smugbama.

For the sake of irony
can you just have a shirt that reads “pants”?

That idea narrowly edges out
the generic Mastercard shirt for this site:

Hats for City Boyz, Inc.: $2000
Year Subscription to Sioux City Journal: $60
Reading a blog that would leave Hayden Fry speechless: Priceless
Back: BHGP
You’re welcome/sorry, pick one.

Many of us
have actually asked that question outside the context of this website.
